Beyond documenting life in the community, I actively support local development initiatives, including helping to sponsor a daycare centre and encouraging sustainable food production through the distribution of vegetable seeds for community gardens.

One of the outreach projects closest to my heart is a street-based art programme that I initiated for local children. The programme provides young artists with A4 paper and art materials, giving them an opportunity to express their creativity while developing confidence and entrepreneurial skills. Rather than begging on the streets, the children create original artworks which they sell to visitors who come to Kliptown. This initiative not only generates a source of income for the children but also promotes dignity, self-reliance, and pride in their talents.

We try to do something good for the community on our photo trips.

Future Angels Day Care Center is where most of the visitors to Kliptown get to meet the young children of the Kliptown community. It is here that we bring most of the dontations.
Bring books and pencils, soccerballs, crayons, food but not sweets to give out to the children who need them.
We hand out seeds so that the community can grow food for profit and to feed the community.
Birthday cakes. Everytime, there is a birthday, we buy a cake and sing "Happy Birthday".

So just about anything that will help is always welcome.
