Hamas sent young
men laden with explosives to carry out suicidal attacks on innocent civilians.
Sometimes they took the form of a car bomb or explosives wrapped around
the body.
They
were promised a wonderful afterlife and that their families would be well
taken care of. It also caused people like Yigal Amir to come out of the
darkness and assassinate Yitzhak Rabin.This series of terrorist attacks
also resulted in the Labour-led government to lose the elections shoving
most of the country into a difficult three years. |
