I traveled from Johannesburg
to north of Pretoria, to an area called Lebowa.
This was at the time when the White government wanted to transfer Blacks
living around Pretoria. I went to a hospital there to shoot some photographs.
One of the doctors showed me some children who would die because of malnutrition.
Most of the children were suffering from Kwashiorkor, a disease associated
with malnutrition. |
