I went to Tel Hashomer,
where the late Yitzhak Rabin's body was kept before being taken up to
Jerusalem for the funeral. As the procession turned left on Aluf Sade
Junction, I stood behind the army vehicle and photographed this amazing
shot of the light pouring in onto the coffin. On the other hand it could
have been his soul ascending to heaven.
What was also amazing was that it could have been the exact spot where
I had photographed him once before, when he was inspecting the construction
of the bridge. |
