A group of
students were transferred in the absence of evidence
of behavioral problems or learning disabilities,
demonstrating alarming disregard for their educational
and/or social well being.
The factors affecting the transfer appear to have
been monetary and "religious" (i.e.
students were new immigrants and still needed
to undergo necessary conversion processes - only
public religious school available was the Center).
IAEJ presented a position paper strongly condemning
the transfer and urging immediate correction of
the situation. Dialogue is continuing on this
issue.
